Gestalt Diagnostics and MindPeak have teamed up to implement an artificial intelligence (AI)-based, breast cancer image-analysis algorithm for clinical use at BioReference Laboratories.
The U.S. laboratory is using MindPeak's BreastIHC AI algorithm in routine clinical practice for quantification of breast cancer cells stained with immunohistochemistry (IHC), according to the companies. BreastIHC has been integrated with Gestalt's PathFlow digital pathology software at BioReference, which serves 19 million patients each year.
