Quest Diagnostics has launched a test service to help detect the novel coronavirus in U.S. patients meeting the clinical criteria for COVID-19 testing.
The company began offering testing on March 9, using a test it developed that is pending review from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under emergency use authorization (EUA). Quest is receiving specimens from hospital and physician offices, it said.
