Color has received an emergency use authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a self-swab COVID-19 test kit.
The kit allows individuals to collect samples using dry swabs at home or at work without the need for supervision from a healthcare professional, the company said. It is already being used by laboratories that serve universities, public health organizations, and companies, according to Color.
