Hamamatsu releases digital pathology survey report

February 18, 2021 -- Hamamatsu Photonics has published a market report on U.S. pathologists' perceptions and use of digital pathology. The report finds that most pathologists see the value of digital pathology but aren't using whole slide scanning.

Instead, many pathologists are relying on sending physical glass slides out for secondary consults.

The report includes information on factors that are influencing the adoption of digital pathology, the value of whole slide scanning for clinical diagnosis, and the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on digital pathology, the company said.
