The community will strive to meet the following goals:

• Unlock the potential of digital pathology through regulatory science
• Train and educate others in an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on precompetitive regulatory science
• Create an environment that encourages stakeholders to move the pathology field forward

Ultimately, the PICC project hopes to identify and develop regulatory science tools that provide insight into regulatory pathways and streamline innovations in the field. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Devices and Radiological Health will participate in the community.
