QDx Pathology Services, an independent anatomical, molecular, and clinical pathology laboratory, is working with digital pathology software firm Proscia to deploy Proscia's software in its Edison, NJ, laboratory.

"Proscia's software makes it easier for our pathologists to do their best work, empowering them to optimize for speed and precision. We have already seen an impact from our decision to adopt this state-of-the-art solution," Pierre Mouawad, QDx's vice president of laboratory operations, said in a statement.

A growing number of labs are adopting digital pathology to make laboratory operations more efficient, simplify workflow and routine operations, and improve decision-making. The firm added that it planned to maintain its position of innovation through the newly deployed system's interoperability with artificial intelligence applications developed by Proscia, Proscia's customers, and the Proscia Ready Partner Alliance.

The Proscia Ready Partner Alliance is a network launched in February aimed at helping life sciences organizations and diagnostic laboratories with the scaled adoption of digital pathology.

In addition, Proscia received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Concentriq AP-Dx solution in February.
