Software company Hygea Precision Medicine and CLIA-certified lab Admera Health are teaming up on pharmacogenomics (PgX) testing.
Under the agreement, Hygea can offer its customers Admera Health tests, like PGxOne Plus, which screens for 50 genes. Hygea's software platform will assist with ordering and managing genetic testing. Providers will decide what medications and dosages patients could be prescribed and which should be avoided based on test results. This will enable providers to offer more effective treatment plans and lower healthcare expenses for patients, according to the companies.
