Genetic testing and population genomics developer Helix has added three health systems to its Helix Research Network (HRN).

The three systems -- Ohio-based TriHealth, Parkview Health in Indiana and Ohio, and Rochester Regional Health in New York -- each aim to enroll 100,000 participants in voluntary, no-cost clinical genomic testing services, adding to Helix's precision clinical research network.

On January 13, Helix also announced a partnership with Komodo Health that will add insights derived from medical, pharmacy, and mortality data from Komodo's Healthcare Map of longitudinal de-identified patient-level insights.

Augmenting Helix's data with Komodo's Healthcare Map in its MapLab platform will enable partner researchers to explore additional insights into medication usage, treatment adherence, and total cost of care across large populations in a wide array of conditions, according to the companies.

Founded in 2015, Helix launched several clinico-genomic datasets in mid-2024 as a result of its health system partnerships in the U.S. The population-scale cohorts, according to Helix, consist of full longitudinal clinical and genomic records that span multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, immunology and inflammation, and metabolics.
