ASCO switches to online format for annual meeting

March 24, 2020 -- The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) will convert its 2020 annual meeting to a virtual format due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The meeting, which was scheduled for May 29 to June 2 in Chicago, will be held online during the same time frame, according to the society. ASCO said it will share more information on the new format in the coming weeks as further details are finalized.
