Point-of-care (POC) diagnostics company DCN Dx has closed its acquisition of PortaScience, a dry chemistry-focused, POC diagnostics development company.
The acquisition includes the PortaCheck line for animal health management and expands contract assay development services such as dry chemistry, lateral flow immunoassay, flow-through, and microfluidic formats. Also as part of the acquisition, customers can expect enhanced industrial design and engineering services along with access to DCN Dx's catalog of specialty products for rapid diagnostic test development, the firms said.
PortaScience will continue to operate out of New Jersey.
