Meridian Bioscience has released two new master mixes for the detection of DNA and RNA in point-of-care diagnostic tests.
The isothermal mixes, Lyo-Ready Direct DNA LAMP Saliva Mix and Lyo-Ready Direct RNA/DNA LAMP Saliva Mix, are designed for saliva and sputum samples. In addition, both mixes are compatible with lyophilization, or freeze drying, the company said.
Use of isothermal amplification, such as loop-mediated amplification (LAMP), is increasing globally, according to Meridian.
