Medline has signed an agreement with Visby Health to distribute Visby’s instrument-free, point-of-care Sexual Health Click Test.
A handheld PCR test with a CLIA waiver, the all-in-one unit can provide diagnostic test results in under 30 minutes for sexually transmitted infections in women, the firms said.
The device was a finalist for the 2022 AACC Disruptive Technology Award and yields approximately 97% accuracy for detection of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomonas, Medline said.
Medline intends to offer the test to healthcare organizations across the continuum of care, including urgent care, student health centers, women's health facilities, and community health centers.
