Becton Dickinson (BD) has announced that the Canadian government has ordered 7.6 million tests to detect the SARS-CoV-2 antigen after its use was authorized by Health Canada. Under the deal, BD will provide the point-of-care tests through March 2021.
The agreement between BD and the government supports Canada's advanced COVID-19 testing strategy. BD's test uses the company's BD Veritor Plus System and delivers results in approximately 15 minutes.
