Fujifilm Healthcare Americas said Thursday that it is showcasing its newly branded Synapse Pathology solution, formerly known as Dynamyx, at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) annual meeting in New Orleans from March 11 to 16.
Synapse Pathology is an open, vendor-agnostic, end-to-end digital pathology solution designed for medical facilities that handle large volumes of pathological images across multiple locations, according to Fujifilm.
The solution delivers digital images for diagnosis 1.7 hours faster than glass slides, and facilitates instant sharing of patient cases with subspecialists, allowing for speedier diagnosis and treatment of patients, the firm added.
Fujifilm completed the asset purchase of Inspirata’s digital pathology business in January. At that time, the Dynamyx digital pathology technology and U.S. employees who supported that business, including all Dynamyx product development, became part of Fujifilm Healthcare Americas.
With the acquisition, Fujifilm entered the digital pathology market.
