Persivia has released the next generation of its smartLab module to help state health departments manage electronic test ordering and the requirements of large-scale epidemics, such as the spread of the novel coronavirus.
SmartLab is now available as a module in Persivia's CareSpace cloud-based software-as-a-service (SAAS) platform for integration into state laboratory information management systems. It also allows providers to self-map their local insurance codes to standard codes accepted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and to accept messages in HL7 2.3/2.5 EDI/XML formats via multiple protocols, the company said.
