Thermo Fisher Scientific has withdrawn the 2020 annual guidance it released in January due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the pandemic has spread from China around the world, Thermo Fisher has experienced a reduction in its sales, and the crisis makes the company unable to "reasonably estimate its annual financial performance," although it continues to believe that its "long-term prospects remain excellent," it said.
The company estimated that its first-quarter (end-March 28) revenue growth will range from 1% to 2%.
