Eden, a healthcare technology firm specializing in generative artificial intelligence (AI) for medical imaging and diagnostics, has raised $10 million in a recent funding round.

The round was led by Sierra Ventures, with participation from Dalus Capital, Ali Capital, Liquid, and Endeavor.

In a statement, the Mexico City-based Eden said that the financing would go toward research and development and further improvement of the firm's AI-based diagnostic tools, as well as supporting Eden's international expansion.

Eden's technology is designed to help medical institutions produce, store, and manage diagnostic images. Its AI-based tools enable quicker and more accurate diagnoses, in turn reducing production costs and time spent, the company said.

Eden currently processes over 6 million studies annually and serves over 1,500 institutions in 17 countries. The firm said that it aims to become the leader in medical diagnostics across Latin America and Central America within the next five years.
