Inpeco introduced its next-generation total lab automation system FlexLabX at the Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine (ADLM)'s 2024 annual meeting in Chicago this week.
FlexLabX accommodates 12 clinical specialties, according to Inpeco, and allows laboratories to connect to analyzers from multiple vendors. The new system features standardized track components that enable a space-saving layout. With the announcement, the company also highlighted the system's graphical user interfaces, data analytics functionality, and full sample traceability. FlexLabX has a throughput of up to 15,525 tubes per hour and is designed to maximize uptime while reduce running costs.
Other highlights of the product include:
- Ability to set different levels of sample urgency and change the priority setting of a sample.
- Can accommodate a wide range of tube types (including pediatric and flat bottom) and racks from various vendors via the open access option.
- Vision system and sample integrity module capture tube images for preanalytical sample status and integrity checks, sorting out compromised specimens before processing.
- Aliquoter module uses air displacement technology to prevent sample dilution and accommodates both nonfilter and filter tips for a wide of range of applications.
At ADLM 2024, Sonic Sunrise Laboratories and Boston Children’s Hospital were featured presenters of the technology.
