Metabolon and DNA Genotek have partnered to bring a room temperature microbiome sampling test for metabolomics to the research market.
According to the companies, the Omnimet Gut test expands access to metabolomic analysis through at-home fecal collection. The chemistry used in the test doesn't require immediate freezing or cold-chain logistics to preserve the integrity of the sample.
The test's flexibility, ease of use, and lower shipping costs can provide significant advantages for clinical trial recruitment and execution, Metabolon and DNA Genotek said.
